To Coach or Not To Coach!

In the Nissan on the Iphone... Here goes, something. I had a new teacher ask me what was the function of a coach? Why she needed a coach? Did I consider it a help? All valid, deserving validation type of questions, right? Well, the politically correct future superintendent says, "coaches are valuable and absolutely necessary; listen, heed and implement according to their prescriptions." The not so bright, but ever brilliant Bri says, "coaches like everyone are human, flawed, tainted (teetered to)their own experiences and also seasoned. As we grow we need some guidance, input, direction- but like the saying goes, 'grain of salt'... They aren't you, you're not them, your students were not theirs and you... Get... The... Point! If you don't call me- I said I was on my iPhone in the Nissan. This keyboards the size of a business card. I'm a teacher I don't have enough free time to explain. I said all that to say- no one person will have all the right advice- seek counsel from many and watch how you grow. The key is don't be the idiot whose to intelligent to ask for advice and not take it! That's just STOOPID!
